Un groupe de fonctionnaires canadiens travaillant au Ministère de la santé et à « Statistique Canada » a effectué une visite à l'Ambassade d'Algérie le 26 mai 2006 dans le cadre d'un programme de formation et de perfectionnement.

Ils ont pu au cours de cette visite, suivre une présentation sur l'Algérie, et ses potentialités aux plans économique et culturel.

Ils ont également assisté à une projection de diapositives sur les sites touristiques en Algérie, à l'issue de laquelle une collation a été offerte.

“The pursuit of the enrichment of our knowledge of the French language was truly achieved on Friday, May 26, 2006 when our French Language Professor Lahmidi Kadem organized an outing for his students to visit Embassy of Algeria at 500 Wilbrod in Ottawa.

We, as Statistics Canada employees were warmly welcomed by the ambassador himself who proceeded to personally deliver a presentation and slide show highlighting his beautiful country and responding to each and every one of our questions. A short unexpected reception followed the presentation.

We would like to thank both the ambassador for taking the time from his busy schedule to receive us so genuinely and our professor who organized this visit with the intent to broaden and enrich his students while studying the French language”.
